Welcome to USAT Clermont Challenge Cup! Staged at the infamous draft legal course which has been the “go to” draft legal race course over the last 14 years. Every single USA Olympic athlete in our sport has raced in Clermont to get to the next level.
WHEN: Saturday, November 9, 2024 (8:30 am start)
WHERE: Lake Louisa State Park, Clermont, FL (45 minutes from Orlando International Airport)
THE COURSE: An Aquathon (men and women waves separated by three minutes)
750 meter Swim
TWO loop 5K Run (each loop is 2.5K)
Note: this is the same format and distance athletes can expect at Worlds in 2025
WHY RACE WITH US?
Earn a spot to Aquathlon Worlds in 2025 in Pontevedra, Spain
Ability to compete on the same course as the top NCAA triathletes in the U.S.
If you are looking to be ranked, this can be the second Aquathlon you need to do this!
Opportunity to come to Florida in November to escape the weather in other parts of the U.S. and get some additional training in during that time.
Perfect time to get with friends to enjoy the beauty of the area
Invite family who can also be part of the many things you can do in Orlando (i.e., Disney, Sea World, University of Central Florida college tour, Golf at some fun resorts)
AWARDS STRUCTURE
Age Group (AG) Top 3 for each age group.
Awards will be handed out directly after the race (approx 9:45 AM)
SPECIAL!! SPOTS FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS ON THE LINE!
USA Triathlon will be offering one world championship slot per five-year age group for the 2025 Aquathlon World Championship slated for Pontevedra, Spain, June 20-29, with slots being passed down to 3rd place only, in each respective age group. USAT will require you to confirm your spot within one week of this event via an email request on that confirmation.
